Est.1988

The start of our ride.

One Big Idea

In 1988, Henry “Hank” Krause set out to make bike maintenance better. Mountain biking was booming, but dirt, mud, and grit were wreaking havoc on drivetrains. Riders needed products made for bikes, not repurposed automotive oils or general-purpose lubricants. His solution was Finish Line Dry, the first-ever bicycle-specific dry lubricant. Clean, lightweight, and engineered for cyclists, it set a new standard for performance and care.

Setting the Standard

That first breakthrough ignited decades of product innovation, and Finish Line evolved a complete range of bike care products designed to help bikes perform better and last longer. Finish Line continues to engineer essential workshop solutions trusted by pro mechanics and cyclists around the world.

A Brand Built By Bike Shops

Independent bike shops have always been at the heart of Finish Line. Their expert knowledge, servicing expertise, and intimate rider relationships have shaped the products we've engineered and how we introduce them to cyclists. This partnership has helped us grow from a one product company into the trusted global brand we are today.

Driven By Curiosity

Hank's hands-on approach continues with every new product innovation. Just as he did in 1988, he leads the development and formulation of new products, and continues to refine and improve existing technologies. Hank's “Trust Tree” philosophy—a belief that innovation grows best from curiosity—guides everything we do.
